TXTing God

The article in the Washington Post told of a 15yr old girl that sent and received 6473 txt messages in a single month. She said about her constant communication with friends "I would die without it" Research tells us that the average teenager txt's over 2000 txt messages a month
This digital conversation offers a remarkable illustration of what prayer could be and should be for every follower of Christ "Pray without ceasing" 1 Thes 5:17
Missonary Frank Laubach described his habbit at "Shooting" prayers at people as he encountered them during the course of each day. In a sence he was TXTing God on their behalf staying in constant communication with the Father
Laubach believed that prayer was the mightiest force in the world and said "MY part is to live in this hour in continuous inner conversaton with God and with perfect responsiveness to His will"

Answered prayer

What an awesome week I have had :) Prayers getting answered faster than I can keep up with, people healed and no trace of cancer, financial needs being met, all kinds of spiritual and physical healing!!!!!!!!!!!! What a GREAT GOD we serve!!!!!!!!!
One of the prayer request that was a personal one for me was that for my son, his ex wife left state 5 yrs ago and took their only child then aged 4. My son has frequently visited his daughter and it costs him about $2000 AUD each time he goes with flights and accomodation and his little one spends the week with him.
While he was visiting her last week his work txtd him on the phone to say he had no job to go back to as work was not busy (He's a chef and works casual) his desire is to go and live in
Tasmania so that he can be close to his daughter and have an inut into bringing her up as her mothers family are very anti christian. Matt and I asked for prayer for him that the Lord would find a way of helping him to relocate to Tasmania and find him another job so as he would be able to save money to go there to live.

WEll......he came back on Tues and Wed afternoon he had a visitor, this person had letter for him it was from a solicitor saying that he was going to inheret $80,000 . He rang me in tears to tell me this and I was able to witness that we had prayed for him, but tears came to my eyes also when he said he had told this person that he just wanted $5000 to relocate to be with his daughter and the rest he wanted put into a trust for two young children younger sister and brother of the person that had left him the money. His partner of 3 yrs had died last year (she was only 23) and had superannuation that she had nominated to him, he was unaware of this. As a mum I was soo very proud of him, he has never owned much in his life but has always given to others, I know the Lord will bless him. I was going to share something different today, but the Lord led me to share this.
May the Lord bless you all and enjoy your weekend

Hello and welcome :)

Thank you for the opportunity to share my life experiences with you, I pray as you read these bloggs that the Holy Spirit will minister to you. Some are funny some are sad but none are less than miraculous. In each one you will see the hand of our precious Saviour.

As I will be taking you through certain experiences of my past as well as my present, I will give you a bit of background on me and write as the Lord leads me

My name is Linda Bartlett and I live on the West Coast of Australia, I emigrated here with my parents and brother at the age of 13 from England in 1963. I gave my life to the Lord later that year at a youth meeting and then fell away in my later teenage years. I became pregnant and got married and had my first child ( a daughter Michelle) at 18 then at the age of 20 returned to church and re dedicated my life back to the Lord and was baptised. From then on my life became an exciting journey one of faith joy tears and miracles, I was blessed with four more children ( 3 sons Paul, Jamie Mark and another daughter Essie)
I have worked in Christian Radio, Street Ministry with the homeless as well as Child Protection Services.

Please feel free to email me if there is anything you would like me to expand on.
